Long-time Seed Professional Hired for Wisconsin Expansion
October 8, 2026

Experienced seed professional brings agricultural sales expertise and firsthand farming knowledge to Wisconsin growers.
ST. JOHNS, MI. (October 5, 2026) – DF Seeds LLC welcomes Eugene “Geno” Brueggen to support its sales expansion in Wisconsin. Brueggen brings years of experience in seed sales, along with firsthand knowledge gained from operating his own farm.
Based near Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Brueggen’s professional background includes roles with Legend Seeds, Alforex Seeds, and Yield Masters Solution. Most recently, he served in a sales role with Tracy Seeds.
His addition builds on DF Seeds’ Wisconsin expansion announced earlier this year. The company is bringing its commitment to “Locally Grown, Locally Proven” seed to more farmers across the Great Lakes region, with an emphasis on local relationships, agronomic support, and products suited to regional growing conditions.
At DF Seeds, the goal is more than selling seed—it is helping farmers succeed from the ground up. The company’s local focus, meticulous seed handling, and commitment to quality help its products stand out in the field. In addition to its non-GMO and specialty soybean products, DF Seeds will offer Wisconsin farmers high-yielding, proven corn, E3 soybeans, wheat, and alfalfa products.
Brueggen is excited to join DF Seeds and bring the company’s values to Wisconsin.
“There is definitely a place for this new brand in Wisconsin. DF brings competitive products, local agronomy resources, and the values of a small company. They are going to take care of the farmers and help improve their operations,” said Brueggen.
DF Seeds selects and tests varieties with the challenges of upper Midwest agriculture in mind. Its approach combines regional knowledge with product evaluation and personalized guidance to help farmers choose seed suited to their fields and management practices.
Janna Fritz, president of DF Seeds, said Brueggen will serve as an ambassador for the company, sharing its story and commitment to local performance.
“At DF, we are noticeably different from other seed brands, especially as brands are consolidated and merged time and time again. We care about local performance. Geno has proven that he can share the excitement and unique attributes of our brand,” said Fritz.
Brueggen’s arrival comes during a period of growth for DF Seeds. In addition to expanding into Wisconsin, the company recently introduced DF-branded corn varieties, extending its focus on seed quality and customer service across a broader product portfolio.
